City of Madison Heights
In 2017, the City of Madison Heights and Simiron Roads partnered to perform beta testing of various Simiron road repair products on some of the local roads throughout the city. In 2018, Simiron Roads performed extensive work on Brush Street which is showing major signs of joint deterioration (concrete road). This work included milling, debris clean-up, priming, and the placement of our CPR material. Two years later, our product is holding up very well on a stretch of road that sees heavy equipment daily, with salting and plowing throughout the winter months.
Simiron R&D
Simiron Road Repair was created in 2019 after a decade of research and development with various road repair products and techniques. We offer a low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC), water-based, and environmentally safe cold-pour product that bonds with asphalt and concrete roads remarkably better than today’s products. Ongoing research and development of our road repair products is one of the keys to our success – delivering our customers nothing but the best there is to offer!
M-53 Road Repair
In the summer of 2019, Simiron Roads was tasked with applying our CPR product on over 20 lane miles of State trunkline on M-53. This stretch of road, between 18 and 23 Mile, is starting to experience lane separation/deterioration. Partnering with the Macomb County Department of Roads and MDOT, Simiron was able to complete this 20 lane mile stretch along with several off/on ramps within the project limits. To-date, our CPR product is holding-up well.
I-69 Charlotte, MI
In the fall of 2019, Simiron Roads entered into an Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) process with MDOT. As a result, Simiron Roads was awarded a $1.788 million contract to perform transverse joint repairs on 54 lane miles of I-69 in Charlotte, MI. Due to weather, Simiron Roads was only able to complete half (27 lane miles) of the repairs. Work to resume this spring.
